Jumpstart Kinder!® teaches children how to read words—not simply recognize or guess them.

Many early reading programs rely heavily on memorizing whole words, pictures, or context to help children identify a word. Jumpstart Kinder!® takes a different approach.

Our systematic phonics approach teaches children to connect letters with sounds, blend those sounds together, and use those skills to decode unfamiliar words. That means your child isn't just memorizing the words they've been shown — they're building the skills to work out new words for themselves, and developing the foundation for confident, independent reading.
